ABOUT EFY GROUP
EFY Enterprises Pvt Ltd began its journey in January 1969, with the release of the first issue of Electronics For You magazine. Since then, it has added several publications to its portfolio, including books, directories, CDs and databases. The company also started dealing in electronic products and components through Kits 'n' Spares, a subsidiary under the EFY Group. Events like LinuxAsia (Open Source Conference), EFY Awards and Edutech Expo, organised by the Group, are today well known not only in the country but also amidst the technology savvy community beyond the Indian shores.
EFY Group's venture into online media has been received with interest across the globe. Its news portals, like Electronicsforu.com, Efytimes.com and Bpotimes.com, are today popular with users across geographical boundaries, who have a keen interest in the developments taking place in the Indian electronics and IT industries.
The Group has also launched E-Zine, an electronic version of its magazine, for the first time in India. This facilitates readers around the world to access the entire magazine on the Web.
EFY is already a huge success in the entire South East Asian region, and boasts of being the first Indian technology firm to reach Singapore and Malaysia. The first issue of Electronics For You magazine was published when the Indian electronics industry was at a nascent stage. Now, with a readership exceeding half-a-million readers, Electronics For You has become India's largest selling technical magazine. Today, it publishes five more magazines that cater to niche audiences within the country and outside.
EFY has offices in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. Besides, it has representatives in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune. It also has distributors in the South East Asian countries.

LINUX For You
The first issue of the magazine had hit the stands in Jan 2003, since then it has been catering to newbies, power-users, administrators, developers and those belonging to the IT industry. Its main goal is to enhance the return on investment (RoI) for organisations by deploying Linux (or open-source) solutions. The magazine is accompanied by a FREE CD, which carries source code, white-papers, software tools, Linux distributions, and even games. Launched in February 2007, Electronics Bazaar is India's first B2B magazine in the electronics space. This monthly magazine will cater to the sourcing needs of the Indian electronics industry.
